We appreciate your business and are working to deliver the solar products you need. Here are some updates on our current operating status.

An Update on Shipping Times
We’re currently experiencing shipping and transportation delays as we get settled into our new Distribution Center in Visalia, CA. While our target is to ship your orders the same day or next business day, we’re currently operating at a 4-5 day turnaround time. We’re doing our best to get our performance back up to our collective standards. In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding and patience.

Here is how we are coping with COVID-19 virus.

AEE Solar is working to protect the health and safety of our customers and employees. We are committed to reducing the risk of COVID-19 while still enabling people to go solar, which continues to save money for families during this uncertain time.

COVID-19 is an evolving challenge, and we’re constantly evaluating guidelines to better protect our customers and employees. We’re following public health guidelines and other best practices recommended by medical experts from across the country.

As a result of COVID and the challenges it has placed on supply chains globally, the US is currently experiencing several significant impacts in shipping and transportation. Many large US ports are impacted, with delays on inbound containers. Vessels are being held up prior to offloading, and as a result many of our inbound purchases have been delayed to our warehouses. Additionally, there is a shortage of LTL and FTL drivers and equipment, and we are experiencing some delays in both outbound shipments and rebalancing of our own material. We advise that customers should plan ahead to the extent possible, in order to secure critical material to support your customers’ installs.

Here are some of the precautions we are committing to:
  • Ensuring our employees are healthy and not coming to work if they are sick.
  • Training employees to follow best practices from public health and government authorities to reduce the risk of potential exposure, including guidelines on handwashing, device (i.e., iPad) cleaning & sanitation, social distancing, and understanding and recognizing signs of symptoms.
  • Securing our workspaces. This includes increasing the frequency of vehicle and office cleaning and sanitizing, and following the best practice recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
  • Suspending all non-critical business travel.
  • Monitoring the situation. We formed a cross-functional taskforce to create and adapt policies that will keep our customers and employees as safe as possible.
  • Directing all employees to a frequently-updated company website providing real-time updates on health and safety best practices.
  • Updating availability and scheduled shipment dates with the most accurate information available to us.

How this affects our service to you:

In an effort to help preserve the safety of our employees and our customers, we require pre-approval and scheduling for will-call pickups at our Fredericksburg, PA locations. Your customer service team can support you with scheduling will-call pickups.

Please note that this change only impacts in-person pick up as we will continue to process and ship orders from our Distribution Centers. We’re still able to support you with our regular selection of dependable freight and small parcel carriers.
