Overview

Schneider ElectricConext XW and SW Accessories

These accessories give various functions to a Schneider Conext inverter or charge controller Xanbus network. A Schneider SW or XW inverter or XW-MPPTxx-600 charge controller is necessary to support a Xanbus network. Any or all of the following components can be added to the Xanbus network. Some lithium batteries, like Discover AES, will also work in the Xanbus network in place of the Conext Battery Monitor.

The Conext SCP System Control Panel plugs into the Xanbus network and provides a central user interface to configure and monitor all components in the system. One is used per XW+ or SW system.

The Insight Energy Management system is used as a communications interface between the Xanbus network with XW or SW inverters and XW charge controllers and a local network or the internet. They provide for local configuration, management and monitoring, with completely updated graphing and reporting interfaces. The system can also be monitored from anywhere using the Insight Cloud web-site. Data logging can be done via various channels, USB, SD card, Ethernet etc. Ethernet or wireless connection can be used to the local router. Remote control of the Schneider system and firmware upgrades can be done through the Insight web application. The Insight Home gateway is made for use with one SW inverter or one or two XW inverters. It has input for one Xanbus or Modbus network and wireless transmission for up to 30 feet. It is wall mounted. The Insight Facility gateway is made to work with single inverters or larger systems with multiple inverters. It has two Xanbus and Modbus network inputs, and wireless transmission up to 300 feet. It can be wall or DIN rail mounted.
The Insight management products will replace the Conext Gateway.

The Conext Gateway is used as a communications interface between the Xanbus network with XW or SW inverters and a local network or the internet. The Gateway provides for local configuration, management and monitoring, with completely updated graphing and reporting interfaces. The system can also be monitored from anywhere using the Schneider Conext Insight 2 web-site. Data logging can be done via various channels, USB, SD card, Ethernet etc. Ethernet or wireless connection can be used to the local router. Remote control of the Conext system and firmware upgrades can be done through the Gateway web application (this and the wireless connection may not be available in early units).

The Conext Battery Monitor can be used in the Xanbus network to keep track of the battery state of charge (not for Li batteries). The Conext AGS auto generator start can be used in the Xanbus network to supply the logic to remotely start a backup generator. The Config Tool can be used to update firmware on Conext products, but is being replaced by the Insight gateways.
